The Bio Liberty relief / redevelopment camp in Slidell Louisiana is pioneering sustainable, off the grid, weather resistant and affordable housing solutions for the hurricane ravaged Gulf Coast region. The property itself was a landing/launching pad for numerous groups of grassroots hurricane relief workers and is now being developed as a model for Solar, Geothermal and BioDiesel powered communities.
The NOmadjik Media Bus finally makes it to New Orleans after a grueling cross country adventure. With assistance from our friends @ Bio Liberty and New Orleans BioDiesel Initiative the bus received some much needed upgrades. I learned a lot about Waste Vegetable Oil as Fuel and the empowering process of BioDiesel Production in the Gulf Coast Region.

The NOmadjik Media Bus is now preparing to start coverage of the Presidential Primary Selections in New Hampshire and beyond. We will be following the primaries south from New Hampshire hitting as many as possible.

See what happened when NOmadjik tried to leave the woods on vegetable oil. No, the paint job isn't finished; I'm posting this from a moving bus and haven't the time or energy to create a better picture for the video.
Converting a school bus to run on vegetable oil is a bit of an art as well as a science. There aren't any "kits" for this sort of thing, you have to make all those decisions on your own. This video takes us up to the point of thinking we'd made all the right decisions for the NOmadjik Media Bus; but there will be 1 more video documenting this conversion..

This is a video from New York City May 5th 2007. The Global Marijauna March to legalize drugs and focus on treatment instead of prison for addicts. Also of great concern is to get the fascist pigs to stop locking up harmless, peaceful, hard working members of our society for choosing marijuana over alcohol and prescription drugs. Our tax money is far better spent on fighting actual crime even though that will make a "detective"s job a lot harder. Witholding Marijuana from those who would benifit medically from using it is cruel and unusual punishment; witholding recreational marijuana is an infringement of the people's right to pursue happiness.
Medical marijuana does a lot more than just enable people to eat when they don't want to. Research now shows that marijuana's active ingredient, THC, or tetrahydrocannabinol, blocks a known cancer-related protein that's already the target of drugs such as ImClone System Inc.'s Erbitux and Amgen Inc.'s Vectibix.

The NYPD now requires a permit for any public gathering, or 'parade', of 50 people or more. Section 1A of the city ruling defines a parade as "any march, motorcade, caravan, promenade, foot, or bicycle race, or similar event of any kind, procession or race which consists of a recognizable group of 50 or more pedestrians, vehicles, bicycles, or other devices move by human power, or ridden or herded animals proceeding together upon any public street or roadway."
This "redefinition" is Explicitly Prohibited in 1st Amendment.
"Congress shall make no law ... abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble ..."

MLK Day: St. Bernard Residents Go through Barbed Wire Fence
in order to Clean Out Their Apartments ... AGAIN
New Orleans, LA (January 15, 2007) -With mops and buckets in hand, displaced residents of the St. Bernard Public Housing Project will go through the barbed wire fence surrounding their homes to clean and rehabilitate them.
On Monday, January 15, Martin Luther King Day, the residents will rally at 12:00pm at Bynum Drugs Store, 3838 St. Bernard Ave, and then enter the property to restore their homes at 12:30.
"Our homes are livable, and we are cleaning them out so that we can live in them," says Sharon Seans Jasper, a St. Bernard resident and organizer. "We will not let the city destroy them." "The residents who will be cleaning their apartments have current leases and therefore have a legal right to enter their homes," says rally organizer Endesha
Juakali of Survivors Village. "However, the police may not honor this right. Therefore public housing residents will be evoking the spirit of Dr. King on this
Martin Luther King Day."
Last Spring these same people did the same thing... They're still trying to get back into their UNDAMAGED APARTMENTS. ... the injustice of this is rediculous.
At the end of the 40,000 person strong "Shopping For Justice" March lead by Al Sharpton a group of Panthers raised their Fists in front of Macy's and burned a flag for justice.
