Che Bus
Submitted by FluxRostrum on Thu, 12/09/2010 - 9:22amVeggie bus alternative energy workshop and radical art mobile space at the the Anti-COP Anti-Cap encampment.
The Che Bus kicks my bus's ass. Rolling with a crew of 10-20 mad maxtivists Christian teaches rural villagers how to use bicycles for specific tasks that usually need electricity as well as water catching and other self sustaining adaptations of hybrid technology. ~ download ~ Cop 16 Cancun

The NOmadjik Show
Random live broadcasts from the NOmadjik Media Bus. Could be an interview when someone of interest comes on the bus or day in the life of a veggie bus or it could be security back up for monitoring the activities at the bus or it could be something else. "~) Archived Videos Here
To My Favorite WVO Mechanic
Submitted by FluxRostrum on Fri, 06/12/2009 - 6:47pmThere's a hole in the coolant hose that heats the the veggie oil. It is in that impossible place to get at where the hose in hose (oil line running inside the coolant line) goes through the firewall (not a computer term). I'm surprised that the unprotected sharp piece of metal pressed tightly up against it had not cut a hole in it sooner.
This morning I was awoken by the police (again) while parked in the RV side of a Flying J parking lot. They "mildly" threatened to arrest me or fine me 1,000 dollars an ounce for the coolant that leaked out over night. I was able to convince them to give me an hour to fix it and leave... that i knew where the hole was and was capable of fixing it ( I did know, but I am not capable of fixing it in an hour ) I've blown about 80 unexpected bucks on coolant, stop leak and "special" rescue tape. There is no way to fix the hole without removing the entire veggie fuel line and coolant heat system. It will take a lot of time.
I was told by a flying J employee to just move it back to the big rig lot and work on it there, that way when the cops came back I'd be gone. I did that but within an hour an unmarked car with a uniformed cop cruised by.
As I rolled around under the bus frantically trying to put tape on wet hose with one hand (because that's all that would fit it the space) a trucker pulls up next to me hops out and leans down to warn me of the swarm of bees he saw behind my bus... I thanked him even though those bees and the ones I was laying on were all dead from the coolant that covered my entire body as well.

Filler Up
Submitted by FluxRostrum on Tue, 10/28/2008 - 1:56pmI'm back in Sildell at BioLiberty filling the tanks with all the oil I can hold. Gordon is packin up the bio diesel plant to move it into New Orleans as part of a larger project so I've got about 500 gallons of fine veggie oil at my disposal.
I'll be heading down to Point au Chene in the deep bayou country where the native indian population has been intentionally left to rot after both Katrina & Gustav. I'll set up the satellite internet for them and try to sort out the reasons they NEVER get any more than an MRE for hurricane relief.

The NOmadjik Media Bus finally makes it to New Orleans after a grueling cross country adventure. With assistance from our friends @ Bio Liberty and New Orleans BioDiesel Initiative the bus received some much needed upgrades. I learned a lot about Waste Vegetable Oil as Fuel and the empowering process of BioDiesel Production in the Gulf Coast Region.

The NOmadjik Media Bus is now preparing to start coverage of the Presidential Primary Selections in New Hampshire and beyond. We will be following the primaries south from New Hampshire hitting as many as possible.
We will also be attending BOTH the Democratic and Republican Conventions and Inauguration. If you'd like to visit us or join us on the road, get in touch.
Tax Deductible Donations made now will benefit the project greatly as we still need to gear up a bit and winterize.
