We Became the Enemy
Submitted by FluxRostrum on Thu, 09/16/2010 - 5:14pmI have numerous off screen cameos in this ... strangely familiar life slice
We Became the Enemy from Armand Ruhlman.
A fictional piece based on real experiences and events in NYC, the video conveys reactionary hostility toward bicycle riders, artists, poets, tree-huggers, community gardeners, etc. - specifically in the downtown community of activists who advocated bicycle power, peace, love, and all that jazz during the 2004 Republican National Convention in Manhattan.

911 Ground Zero Mosque Projections
Submitted by FluxRostrum on Sat, 09/11/2010 - 5:59pmnice & legal simple yet bold, especially with a great lawyer on your arm. ;~)
Using the universal symbols of the earth, circle, and equality sign
mixed in with words unity and equality in a dozen different languages
this is an attempt to recontexualize the ground zero mosque in such a
way that the f...ar right can no longer use it as a rallying point for
islamophobia and hate.

Honduran Expats Sound Off on Coup D'etat
Submitted by FluxRostrum on Thu, 07/30/2009 - 11:11amThis past weekend a few hundred men, women and children gathered for an afternoon of non-stop soccer games, fresh cooked plates of grilled steak, rice and beans, and lounging by the banks of Westchester Creek on the rim of Ferry Point Park in the Bronx. Over the last few years this out of the way park has become a gathering place for some of the estimated 40,000 Honduran immigrants in New York City--and more recently it has become the setting for heated discussion about the constitutionality of the recent coup d'etat in Honduras that removed President Manuel Zelaya from office, and replaced him with Roberto Micheletti, a thrice failed presidential candidate.
