In addition, the first ever Gulf Coast Clean Air and Clean Water Awards were given to individuals and groups who have answered the call to stewardship on behalf of our area, ecosystem and people.

Kindra speaks specifically to the ignorant regulation of the fishing industry that is forcing people out of business while playing favorite to corporate controlled fishing much like the family farmers have been pushed off their land the family fishing industry is also in danger of going extinct.

Dr. Wilma Subra, Louisiana physiological biochemist interviewed in the award-winning documentary "Gasland", will report on her recent blood test results on the residence of the Gulf Coast. Test most Dr. refuse to perform, tests lawyer disbelieve; tests that proof that corexit is making it's way into our food supply.  She is founder and president of the Subra Company of New Iberia.  She has been providing blood testing to those exposed to the dispersant Corexit that proof the chemicals are finding there way into the seafood and our bodies.

The commercial fishermen are fishing and sending the food to market because the government & FDA says it's safe.  But they won't feed it to their own families.
